What is John Ellis Water?
John Ellis Water is an extraordinary form of distilled water, also known as Living Water.

Introduction
What ignites the creative spark behind an invention? For many, it is innate curiosity and a drive to explore the unknown. One might expect the John Ellis Distillation System to have emerged in this way. However, its creation was not so straightforward. Instead, it was born from two synchronistic events in the early life of John Ellis.
This tale weaves together personal health challenges which fueled innovation, scientific and technological advancements, and concludes with profound impacts on human wellness. Truly a story worthy of a book or movie, it exemplifies how adversity and synchronicities can fuel inventions that which lead to breakthroughs with far-reaching impacts.
The History
Ellis developed an aggressive cancer by age 10. This was followed at age 15 by a synchronistic occurrence; he came across specific knowledge in a book written centuries ago by a historical alchemist. John Ellis followed that treatise, drank the water it produced, and credits it with saving his life. Although in its infancy, the John Ellis distillation system was born in 1945. During conversation John explained “I was just a kid, I didn’t know the water had a wider hydrogen bond angle.”
John Ellis was born May 29, 1930 in NY City, the oldest child in a refined, financially comfortable, well-connected family. It comes as little surprise that John received his education in an environment where students lived on campus. He attended high school at the prestigious Choate School for boys in Wallingford, Connecticut.
Founded in 1890, the school's motto was "Fidelitas et Integritas," (fidelity and integrity). Many Choate graduates go on to attend top universities such as Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. Choate boasts a long list of notable alumni, which include governors, legislators, diplomats, ambassadors, journalists, entrepreneurs, Academy Award-winning actors and actresses, film directors, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwrights, an Olympic hockey player, a mountain climber who scaled the seven summits, and another who invented the helicopter. Notable attendees include U.S. President John F. Kennedy, his older brother Joseph P. Kennedy Jr., and Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of Donald J. Trump.
After graduating from Choate, Ellis attended Lafayette College. Established in 1826, its curriculum is known for arts, science, and engineering. From an 1866 board of trustee’s report, they “set the goal of educating not just the engineer” but the whole person “who is able to meet the challenges of a world in which scientific, technological, and human needs have steadily become more complex.”

John Ellis graduated from Lafayette College, with degrees in engineering and steam plant design.
The Ellis’ heritage includes a great grandfather who constructed 32 steam engines for the Civil War, suggesting that engineering abilities run in his veins.
Reflecting on his time at Lafayette College, Ellis recounted a series of remarkable experiences that shaped his journey: “When I was at Lafayette College, Easton, PA I went to Princeton University in Princeton, NJ on weekends to see friends. That's when I often met Allbert Einstein as he walked on a path from his home to his office at the University. During one such meeting, I asked him if it was possible to CHANGE THE HYDROGEN BONDS IN WATER. After a puff on his pipe, he said: "Yes. It's possible!" After that we became good friends because his students would never ask a question like that!!
…It also explains why my Lafayette College Engineering Professor John Weishampel was always asking me to go to the blackboard and explain various Engineering subjects to my classmates. After one class, just before graduation, he called me to his office: "After 30 years, since you are the only Engineer I ever graduated, I am giving you the only 100 I have ever given! When I said he had graduated thousands of Engineers he said: "I mean a REAL Engineer!" and he gave me the grade of 100! WHAT A GREAT MAN FOR DOING THAT!”
Throughout Ellis’s successful career as owner of Precision Switch, Port Chester New York, including work as a government contractor during the Vietnam War (1955-1975), he frequently met the demands of his contracts by inventing the necessary items to fulfill them.
Personal Challenge
Synchronistic occurrences happen to each of us. These unexpected moments, whether big or small, significantly influence the course and the trajectory of life. Recognizing that these have occurred, and so knowing that they certainly are occurring now, brings a deep profound sense of wonder and awe! For John Ellis, sickness at age 10 led to the genesis of the distiller we are exploring. In 1945, John was a sickly child with cancer.
This was during the time that Radium therapy was medically in vogue; a treatment developed at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. From the 1940’s to the 1960’s, many people received Radium treatments before radiation hazards of radium, a radioactive element, came to light.
John underwent multiple Radium Treatments for severe sinus problems, and like the many others, received nasopharyngeal radium irradiation (NRI). This involved placing radium sulfate-tipped rods far up near the back of both nostrils. NRI treatments expose the thyroid and pituitary gland to radium. These are important glands that regulate bodily functions.
Radium was thought to be a good way to treat problems of the head, neck and sinuses. The treatments shrank the tissues near Eustachian tubes, and lymphoid tissue. Estimated is that 500,000 to 2 million people received this therapy. The NRI therapy was also given to over 8,000 military flight crews and submarine personnel for ear dysfunctions caused by changes in underwater and high-altitude air pressure.
The radium implant emitted alpha radiation, beta rays, and gamma rays. The alpha particles were blocked by the applicator and did not enter the tissue. The beta radiation, which travels short distances, targeted the nearby overgrown tissue in the nasopharynx. However, the gamma radiation, which penetrates further into the tissue than beta rays, was an unwanted by-product of the radium implant, delivering its radiation to the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, salivary gland, and the brain. Many patients who received these treatments experienced side effects and later health problems such as cancer in the head, thyroid, neck and brain.
John developed cancer, becoming sicker and frailer. He had to be constantly monitored at home and at the Choate school he attended. Ellis was 6 foot tall with only 130-pound weight. His health declined to a point that at age 15, the school would not let him engage in sports.
Things were very grim for teenaged John Ellis, a tale of woe. But John’s response was to act after a synchronistic occurrence happened when he visited the library at Choate. He discovered an old alchemical treatise written by historical alchemist Robert Fludd in 1610.
Following the directions written by Fludd, he made the greatest discovery of his life, a discovery that Ellis credits to saving him from his own illness and resulted in the John Ellis Distillation System.

At age 15 Johns health condition is critical. His mind, with its natural interest in steam power mulls upon and collates what he has learned from the work of Michael Faraday, that steam is the most powerful energy produced from water, and information from the book he had read about an alchemist who made a mystical water through varying degrees of heat during multiple distillations–this water providing more vitality than regular water.
The alchemist, Robert Fludd described the water that was produced as: “Of a far nobler nature than common water, it was the hidden pacient in this world which receaveth the secret influences of the heavenly act.” -Philosophicall Key by Robert Fludd.

1. John notes the portion of Michael Faradays work which showed that electric current passed through water (H₂O), decomposes it into hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂) gases. John knew that hydrogen and oxygen are important to the body, and that Albert Szent-Györgyi, the Nobel Prize-winning biochemist, said “You need oxygen to live, you need hydrogen to live well”. John just needed to find a way to get more oxygen and hydrogen from water he drank so he could heal!
2. John combines that information with another gained from Michael Faraday’s research which suggested that altering the hydrogen bond angle in water could have significant effects to the process of electrolysis. John just knew he needed to do this so the biochemistry in his body could more easily release the important hydrogen and oxygen. hydrogen provides the electrons used to power biochemistry and cellular activities, and the oxygen molecule oxygenates the blood. John just knew that if he could alter the hydrogen bond angle in water, he could make water healthier and he could heal. But How?
3. John knows that steam is the most powerful energy produced from water, and that its water molecules expand, allowing the harnessing of this energy to run engines. He pondered how something about this mechanism could make healthier water for him to drink.
4. And John mulls over the historical alchemist in the sixteen hundreds who produced mystical water through the use of varying degrees of heat during distillation. The energy in that water revitalized people.
At age 15, John chose to design and create a water distiller that was similar in concept to Fludd’s alchemical treatise. Using technology available today he distilled water using multiple varied degrees of heat.
John Ellis explains further on his website “Since there are as many frequencies as stars, Viktor Schauberger used “warm–cold” water implosion properties in a machine he built for Siemens in 1937 that was destroyed because Hitler was displeased, he wouldn’t work for the Third Reich!
My patents show I adapted Schauberger’s heating-cooling implosion without revealing proprietary secrets! Other devices using “water structure, memory or frequency” haven’t been able to maintain that energy like I have! This is because they don’t understand VACUUM ENERGY created by implosion (sic: energy) used by Viktor Schauberger who also developed flying saucers (under the threat of death) during WW2 Nazi Germany.”
John Ellis the Inventor
People who knew young John Ellis asked if he would build a machine for them. He did this at no charge. One lady benefitted greatly from the water and presented him with a check which he declined.
Ellis explains during conversation “Her legs were black and ready for amputation. Water at a 114 hydrogen Bond Angle goes through the membrane easier. Saved her legs from amputation.”
John Continued his education, graduated from Lafayette College and opened his business “Precision Switch Company”. He was busy as a government contractor designing and inventing to fulfill the contracts they sent to him.
During this time John also built the distiller. He explains during conversation “If someone asked me to build a machine I would in my spare time.”
It wasn’t until the 1980’s that Ellis offered his distiller in the marketplace. He named it the Water Wizard. This was acknowledgment of a man he deeply admired: Viktor Schauberger, whose explorations on the energies in water caused him to be known as the water wizard. Today the name of the John Ellis distiller is LWM Electron (living water machine).
Ellis did not expect any pushback, after all he was merely offering a distiller. Certainly, the machine distilled water in a completely different revolutionary way, but by its category of device, it was just a distiller.

In regular water molecules, the angles between the two hydrogen atoms have shifted. They are farther apart by about 10 degrees—from the 104.5-degree angle in regular water to around 114 degrees in John Ellis Water.
This transformation is achieved through John Ellis's remarkable Multiple-Pass Distillation Process, a series of mini-distillations that produce a new form of water with distinct traits and characteristics. John Ellis Water has a slightly thicker consistency, resembling a coherent, thinned gel.

When discussing the hydrogen bond angle in John Ellis Water, the 114-degree angle is often mentioned. For greater precision, John Ellis's patent explains "…water flowing out of the condensing channel has a hydrogen bond angle in a range of about 113° to about 114°, preferably 113.8°. This is an unexpected result, which can be observed using a tunneling electron microscope."
The wider angle is beneficial since any liquid with a hydrogen bond angle over 110° displays weaker bond strength. Quantum Distilled:
In conventional distillers–whether they are stand-alone household distillers, manual distillers, automatic kitchen-installed distillers, whole-house distillers, or commercial distillers–there is typically one heater located under the water reservoir. This is known as single-pass distillation, where water is continuously heated from below to form steam that carries over into the collection container. John Ellis explains that this design is flawed and should be avoided, as its high-velocity steam can carry over contaminants like chemicals, nano-sized plastics, and forever chemicals that have infiltrated the groundwater.
JE Distillers Contain Two Heaters and These are Placed Next to the Water Reservoir. This unique design does not place the heaters under the water reservoir. Each heater has its own independent thermal cutoff setting, enabling the production of rapidly pulsed, multiple, varied thermal vibrational frequencies that lock into the water molecules. These vibrational frequencies loosen the bonds in water, setting the stage for an ability to reconstruct to JE Water.
Additionally, when the heaters are designed to cycle off and on, multiple “mini-distillations” of water are created.
Heaters are Enclosed in a Spherical-Shape Housing: The round sphere shape of the heater housing acts as a flow guide for water, modulating its movement, directing it into a toroidal shape, and initiating implosion vortexes. These toroidal shapes and implosion vortexes are known to create lower-pressure entry areas commonly called Singularity, characterized by interaction with the Quantum Vacuum (the ether which is all around). The sciences have learned that at Singularity, something radically changes or a new structure emerges.
Two Ultraviolet Light Bulbs: These extreme-energy-producing 100nm ultraviolet bulbs are positioned over the water line in the boiler. They impart intense vibrational frequencies upon water molecules in the boiler and the rising water vapor (or steam). These frequencies embed into the water molecules. UV radiance is a key in the distillation process that produces JE Water.
Employing a sterilization method known as autoclaving, the UV rays and the ozone they produce from oxygen effectively sanitize both the water within the distiller and the rising water vapor, destroying contaminants that may have been in the source water.

Deuterium-Depleted:
As the two heaters cycle on and off, deuterium molecules in the rising water vapor fall back into the boiler due to their greater weight compared to hydrogen. The water vapor then moves through the condensing tube, emerging as deuterium-depleted JE Water.
Deuterium is heavier than hydrogen: Deuterium (²H), a natural component of water, is heavier than the regular hydrogen (H) in water. Deuterium, which has a higher boiling point of 214.5°F compared to hydrogen's 212°F, tends to fall back into the water in the distiller when the heaters stop, rather than remaining in the vapor phase and carrying over as JE Water. This is due to its heavier weight and higher boiling point.
The JE distillation system reduces the level of deuterium in JE Water to about 25 parts per million. Deuterium-depleted water is generally considered to have less than 140 ppm.
Fractional Distillation: Distilling with heat followed by no heat is a type of fractional distillation, the method used by industry to produce deuterium-depleted water.
Living Water:
This water is more healthful, offering more life-supporting characteristics for the body. JE Water, with its unique molecular structural design, is easier for your body to absorb, and your cells can split it apart more efficiently for use in their biochemistry.

Over time, Ellis increased the wattage from 1,200 to 1,500 watts, added ultraviolet rays, and a cover that houses a fan.
This method of distillation produces exceptionally pure water, meeting the laboratory standard for ultrapure water, which is less than 0.1 parts per million (ppm) total dissolved solids.

JE Water Purity Report: The purity of JE Water was confirmed by York Laboratories when Ellis ordered testing on local tap water before and after going through the John Ellis Distillation System. At that time, Ellis named his machine the Water Wizard 700, undoubtedly giving a nod to Viktor Schauberger whose personal water research earned him the nickname “the water wizard”. Later, Ellis renamed the machine LWM Electron (Living Water Machine).
Before distillation, the regular tap water contained 57.91 ppm total dissolved solids. After distillation, this amount significantly dropped to less than 0.07 ppm. John Ellis Water is extremely ultrapure.

JE Water has the incredibly fewer than 0.07 ppm dissolved solids. This is significantly less than the standard for regular distilled water of 50-150 ppm.
When considering parts per million, it's crucial to question what exactly constitutes those parts per million! In a typical distiller, where the heater is positioned beneath the water, more than 80,000 chemicals can carry over into the collection container. This includes lightweight plastic phthalates and persistent forever chemicals (PFAS) found in the water we drink and food we consume.
The issue with all traditional distillers lies in the fact that their heaters are continually on, and located beneath the water reservoir, which continuously drives heat into the water. This method, known as single-pass distillation, generates high steam pressure and velocity, causing contaminants to be carried over through the condensation tube and into the distilled water.
For this reason, John Ellis has said throughout his career, and during conversation “regular distillers should be abolished, and if you see a distiller where the heat is at the bottom of the tank, don’t drink the water.”
Ancillary Information
Ellis stood on this principle during the Vietnam War (1955–1975) when his company, Precision Switch Corporation, Rochester, New York, received a government contract with a blueprint to build regular distillers. He declined, citing health concerns, specifically pointing to sailors of the USS Buchanan who were being sickened by Agent Orange from ordinary distillers. The Agent Orange that was sprayed drifted across the ocean and the ship distillers condensed it into the distilled water. Brought before a military tribunal for breach of contract, Ellis remarked during conversation, "This is something you don’t want to do during wartime because they can kill you by firing squad."
Spoiler alert: Upon arriving at the hearing in Alexandria, Ellis and his lawyer were stopped at the door and told, "Mr. Ellis, there is a mistake in the contract." The contract was canceled, and Ellis never made the distillers. Later, because of concern for the sailors, Ellis donated machines to the military, after which he received hundreds of grateful letters.
Ellis, a prolific inventor and engineer, was a government contractor during the Vietnam war. He was given security clearance due to his work fulfilling orders from the Defense Electronic Supply Center (DES). Receiving many contracts for precision switches, the government assigned three inspectors to be with him at all times. This was to ensure his safety, as Ellis was an important supplier of contracts vital for national security–saving lives in the Vietnam war. The three inspectors strongly advised Ellis to avoid a tribunal and proceed with building the regular distillers.
The USS Buchanan was one of the Blue Water Navy ships that patrolled the open coastal waters of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Veterans who served on these ships were exposed to Agent Orange, a herbicide used to defoliate dense jungle areas. Agent Orange wafted through the air, entering the upper airways of the ship, and also settled on the seawater which was distilled for drinking. Traditional distillation processes allowed the chemical to carry over into the distilled water. Exposure to Agent Orange has been linked to numerous health issues, including cancer.
Footnote: Ellis played a role in securing disability benefits for sailors on those ships exposed to Agent Orange. Prior to change made in eligibility, the military required that sailors had to have set foot on land to be eligible for the benefits.

Electrolysis Testing on Water
Electrolysis is an experiment that anyone can use to test JE Water. It displays the amount of energy required to decompose water into hydrogen and oxygen.
The discovery of water electrolysis in 1800 is credited to William Nicholson when he used electricity to decompose water into hydrogen and oxygen.
Describing Water Electrolysis
The basics of electrolysis on water include:
1) Place the water to be tested in a glass container.
2) Add an electrolyte like salt, acid, or base to increase conductivity, since water is a poor
conductor of electricity.
3) Place two strips of electrically-conducting metal into the water making sure they do not
touch–stainless steel is often used as it is corrosion-resistant.
4) Attach these strips to an ammeter to measure the current (amps) flowing.
5) Attach the ammeter to a power source, usually a high-voltage DC power supply (i.e., car
battery).
6) Turn on the power supply.
As electricity flows, water breaks apart, dissociating to hydrogen and oxygen gas. Tiny bubbles of hydrogen gas (H₂) form on one of the metal strops, and tiny bubbles of oxygen gas (O₂) form on the other.
The ammeter reading shows how many amps are needed to decompose the water. Spoiler alert: John Ellis water requires 60 times fewer amps, representing a 6000% reduction in electricity required!
Electrolysis Testing on John Ellis Water
An electrolysis test was conducted by David Davies (1947-2020), owner of Powergate Technologies, provider of HHO (water) conversion systems for trucks, and HHO generators (HHO being their abbreviation for water, H₂O).
Spoiler alert: The electrolysis test visually expressed the widened hydrogen bond angle in JE Water.
Due to the wider hydrogen bond angle in JE Water, it has weaker bond strength. This makes it easier to break it down into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas during electrolysis, needing just 0.5 amps instead of the 30 amps required for the same reference water. This more effortless dissociation is what enables JE Water to interact with greater efficiency in your body during its cellular biochemistry, enhancing your "body electric" energy.
The Test and Results
During electrolysis, a glass container holding about 12 ounces of a mixture that contained well water, potassium hydroxide, and hydrogen peroxide required 30 amps of current to dissociate into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas.
Using the same electrolysis setup, 20 drops of JE Water were added to the same mixture in the same glass container. With the addition of JE Water, the mixture required only 0.5 amps to dissociate into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. Without the added JE Water, 30 amps had been needed to achieve dissociation.
This demonstrates the remarkable efficiency that JE Water brings to the process! Adding JE Water used 60 times fewer amps–a 6000% reduction in electricity required!
These numbers reflect the efficiency of JE Water in electrolysis compared to the same reference water. It shows a significant reduction in the energy required to dissociate the water mixture. “I’ve been researching and building hydrogen generators for big trucks since 2007. So, when a friend of mine sent me a copy of the John Ellis water advertisement from a magazine I went ahead and requested a free sample of John Ellis water to test with my new HHO (hydrogen-hydrogen-oxygen) cell design.
After mixing KOH and well water for the electrolyte, I connected my cell to my Pulse Width Modulator that pulses energy from a 12-volt battery. As suspected, the amps shot up to over 35 amps blowing a few 30-amp fuses. So, I added two cups of hydrogen peroxide to dilute the electrolyte in the water.
The cell had excellent HHO output and the amperage immediately dropped a little bit down to 29-to-30-amp range where it remained. Every day I ran the cell for about 15 minutes and the amps remained in the same 29 to 30 range.
Then my 4 oz, free sample of John Ellis water arrived so I put 10 drops of the water into the electrolyte. I continued to run the cell several times a day for 15 to 30 minutes and, to my surprise, the amperage kept getting lower. It was using less of the battery’s power to make hydrogen. A couple of days later the cell was still producing lots of HHO, But the amps had dropped to about 15 amps, then to 12, then to 7.5 amps. So, I decided if a little more John Ellis water could make the electrolysis so efficient, I would add another 10 drops. The amps continued to drop. I was dumbfounded.
My electronic engineer said there had to be something wrong with my ammeter or I messed up my experiment somehow. After seven days of testing, it remained steady at 1 amp—but the HHO output was the same as was when the cell required 33 amps.
Today, I decided to save the electrolyte with the John Ellis water and use it to test a brand-new cell in case there was something defective with the original test cell. To my total amazement, the cell began to produce lots of HHO as it was ‘broken in’ …but the amps dropped from one amp to an indicated zero amps.
The ammeter goes up to 60 amps so the calibrations are coarse, but even so, my new cell is using no more than 1/2 amp to produce lots of HHO.
As a researcher who devotes all of his time in the study of using water for the fuel process, this appears to be a breakthrough since I’m producing abundant HHO (lots of energy when burned), using almost no electrical power to generate the HHO fuel. This is the cleanest energy on the planet since the only emissions when HHO is burned is pure H2O.

JE Water Electrolysis: Defies “Faraday’s Laws of Electrolysis”
In the electrolysis experiment above, the original water mixture required 30 amps of electricity to break water down into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. With the addition of 20 drops of JE Water, the requirement dropped to a mere 0.5 amps.
Consider this: The same 30 amps of electricity should have been required with or without the 20 drops of JE Water–after all, JE Water is water.
According to Faraday's laws of Electrolysis, the quantity of electricity (current) required is directly proportional to the effect observed—less electricity, less effect. But that’s not what happened.
Instead, adding 20 drops of JE Water reduced the required amps to just 0.5. This means that 60 times fewer amps were required; translating to a 6000% reduction in electricity needed to do the same job!

Jon Stokes was the director of advertising there, and he got a phone call from the head scientist at Alamos directing him to stop the ad because it was false advertising. He said “I’ve got 3 PHD’s who said that man is saying something that is impossible.” Jon (Stokes) told the man to "Call John and if it's impossible he won't advertise here!". They called and got a machine on a credit card. The ONLY time Los Alamos contacted me was when they called and bought the machine. I never heard from them again. John Spokes heard from them after testing, the man called and said "I am embarrassed to tell you John Ellis DID change the hydrogen Bond Angle in water to 114 degrees and we wish we owned his Patents! ".
Note: In 2007, John Christian Ryter (the pen name of Jon Stokes) published the book “The Faraday Twins”. In it, Ryter associates Michael Faraday (1791-1867) with John Ellis (1930-) as two scientists, each with lifetime quests to permanently change the bond angle of the hydrogen in water.

For Example, the June 8, 2024 newsletter relates that a letter was sent by the FDA regarding how the distillers were invented. Ellis writes “Why would you wait 80 years to push a 94-year-old man, a CANCER SURVIVOR, into a Heart Attack when 50 years ago, with Engineering Degrees that include Steam Plant Design, the FDA allowed ordinary distillers to be sold…”
Picture yourself in Ellis's position. Introduction
Appreciation for John Ellis Water blossoms when we understand the intricate workings of the revolutionary JE Distillation System that produces it. Singularity is the zone where radical change occurs, or a new structure emerges. Technology Revived from Historical Alchemy!!
The goal of early researchers in the science of Alchemy, and those following their footsteps, was to create transformed substances that benefit the health of people. Called alchemists, they had confidence in the power of human beings to imitate and improve on nature.
John Ellis's water distillation system achieves transformation of traditional water into a healthier, distinct, New form of water with its own unique identity. This remarkable process bears the hallmark of Alchemy, aligns with its principles, and fits within that scientific realm.
Although it may be hard to believe and even seem magical to us, the John Ellis water distilling system, in an astounding way, actually manipulates the fundamental principles understood about water!
It accomplishes this by a method of distillation that imparts multiple and rapidly applied fluctuations in water temperature. This is augmented by its specifically-sized spherical shaped boiler housing. Also included are two extreme-intensity 100nm Ultraviolet bulbs. Their rays contribute to the abundance of vibrational frequencies generated by the distiller.
However, this knowledge about distilling water by applying differing levels of heat is not new. Ellis discovered an alchemical treatise written by historical alchemist Robert Fludd 400 years ago. Fludd described the water that was produced as mystical water that imparted vitality. Most anyone who read the write-up probably found it intriguing and then moved along. However, when the book showed up in 1945 during a visit to the Coate high school library, fifteen-year-old John Ellis was very much interested. John, a very ill teenager with poor prognosis, began to wonder if a method like this could possibly lead to his recovery.
That alchemical document stuck with John. He was very sick, down to 130 pounds on a 6-foot frame. Highly motivated to return to health, John mulled over this information while knowing that he could create the blueprint for a steam plant design that would share concrete similarities with methods used by that alchemist during the early sixteen hundreds.
Already attracted to steam-generated power, later earning an engineering degree and another in steam plant design, fifteen-year-old John applied himself and built a water distiller conceptually similar in design to Fludd’s.
John Ellis, now 94 years, attributes that water to saving his life way back in 1945.
John Ellis explains, “I was reading a book about the alchemist, they’re the fathers of modern chemistry–and that book said that heating and cooling water produces mythical quality. I was able to create this machine that heats and cools water by going from the boiler then sent back and forth over and over and over, three times a minute, hundreds of times in every gallon you’re making; something that regular distillers don't do!”
I found that alchemist in my own alchemical library! Robert Fludd applied varying degrees of heat during multiple distillations, describing the water that was produced as: “Of a far nobler nature than common water, it was the hidden pacient in this world which receaveth the secret influences of the heavenly act.” -Philosophicall Key by Robert Fludd.
